 Ripples by Meaghan Rauscher

                                                5/5 stars

                                      Goodreads Description

After weeks of endless waiting and anxious worrying, Lissie is more than ready to save Patrick from his captors in Hyvar. The Lathmorians are ready to attack and this time she’s going with them.

Slipping past the frontlines of battle, Lissie and Elik plunge into the depths of the castle toward the dungeon. What they never could have expected is the sight that meets their eyes. An empty cell throws Lissie into a panic and searching for answers she runs into a hostile Hyven soldier who forces her to face the truth: Patrick is gone.

Crushed beyond comprehension, Lissie leaves Hyvar empty handed but as she slowly begins to breathe life back into her lungs she realizes Morven is still playing a game. A game in which he is the master and she is the sole participant. Her every action sets forward a reaction he has predicted within the confines of his game. But what happens when she begins to make her own rules?

In a new mindset, Lissie begins to make her own path and wonders just how fine she can walk the line of allegiance between the Lathmorians and the Hyven.

When she left Hyvar to save herself, she left her heart behind with Patrick. Now that he’s gone he left her with no one to protect her…or did he?
The epic tale that began with Lissie’s transformation in DROPLETS continues in another story unlike any other written before.

                                                      My review

First, let’s talk about that cover! It’s just so pretty! And it has a dagger on it (read the book to know what I mean;) ) which is awesome!

Wow. That is all I can say. I can’t even put into words how amazing this book is. To think I thought this one couldn’t hardly be better than the first, I was way wrong. Some how, this book was even better than the first. I read and finished this book on an eight hour car trip, if that tells you anything. I could barely lay the book down to eat lunch because of how intriguing the plot was. All the feels for this book. All of them.

The author amazed me yet again by her fantastic writing style. The way she described the scenery or the emotions that Lissie felt, you felt them right along with her. From the andreline she felt during a battle, the sadness she felt when reminded of Patrick, to the love she found she had for Zale. It was all written so well. And I even fell in love with Zale just as much as I did Patrick. That’s one thing that really amazed me.

The only complaint I have for this book, is that it had to come to an end. How I will wait until July 2016 I do not know. So until then, I will sit on my bed and cry. Just kidding. 😉 But seriously y’all! Go buy/read these books so we can talk about them together and you can become part of the mermaid fandom!

I saw sent this book my the author in exchange for my honest review. Thank you, Meaghan! 🙂
